Chinwag With Shilpa Savant

This week we have a miracle lady – Shilpa Savant, who has dedicated her life towards the benefit of humanity through Reiki therapy. There are many doubts on the subject and I take this opportunity in clearing few through this interesting chinwag with Grandmaster Shilpa Savant. Here are some excerpts;

What are the different forms of Reiki you practice?
There are innumerable forms of Reiki ranging from Usui to Kundalini, Rainbow to Angelic I practice integrated form of Reiki to facilitate healing at multiple levels simultaneously. Holistic approach in healing ensures deeper treatment for complete health.
How Reiki works in curing disease?
Everything is a form of energy. The disease is either Congestion or Depletion of energy. Regaining the energetic balance cures. Reiki promotes the body to balance and thereby cures.
How much time a person takes to get well?
On an average, 90 percent of the cases get cured anywhere in 1 to 9 sessions. It depends from person to person. Some may get instant relief and if blockages are heavy it may take a longer period. The only exceptions are Cancer or terminal disease.
Can Reiki cure cancer or terminal disease?
Not proven as yet. Karuna Reiki helps to feel deeply relaxed, improve pain levels and increase overall comfort, which does reduce the dosage of pain medication. As a result, Reiki motivates the patient ‘s desire to get well. Based on these findings, it is worthwhile to apply the soothing benefits of Reiki over and above mainstream treatment.
How symbols of Reiki work in healing?
Reiki symbols are sacred and secret. It is part of the Reiki tradition that they are kept confidential. They contain electromagnetic wavelengths and frequencies unique to each symbol. They harmonize the body through the biomagnetic ( auric ) field. It brings significant healing on the psychological and physiological level.
Can anyone learn Reiki?
Yes of course. In my direct experience of teaching Reiki, I have come across students from varied backgrounds. Across different levels of education, experience, social status, psychological development and physiological abilities. All of them were able to learn and apply reiki with equivalent efficiency and effectiveness. Every human adult above
age 18 years can learn Reiki.
What is the relationship among Reiki, Karma and God ‘s will?
Reiki is an integrated form of Gnana, Karma, Bhakti in one. It is an ancient science of universal energy.
It is Gnana based on proven science of universal energy.
It is Sat Karma ie well-intended work for the well-being of all concerned. It is not taking anyone else’s Karma. Karma is non-transferable. It just helps the troubled person to reorganize his or her energies to help oneself. This is similar to Sat Karma done by any health practitioner, social worker/well wisher.
It is Bhakti to establish complete faith in God’s will ( Direct experience of Universal vibrations ) to re-establish health and harmony. In other words, Reiki is integrated treatment where Gnana , Karma and Bhakti compliment each other creating a virtuous cycle for the evolution of collective consciousness.
What is your vision for humanity to be reached through Reiki?
Health is natural so is Harmony. Human beings are blessed with the power to acknowledge this universality within and around. My vision for humanity is to have healthy humans in United World. Reiki shows the energetic path to experience and expresses mutually nourishing interconnectedness.

What Would I Like To Be Remembered For?

Have you ever thought of leaving a mark in the world? After such a long time, I saw something that really touched and intrigued me – Seagrams 100 Pipers‘ commercial. This made me introspect about what I should be remembered for? The inner voice echoed the sentiments conveyed in the commercial viz. ‘Be Remembered For Good’. The goodness you bring out in others, the goodness you want to spread through your writing, the smiles you can spread on the faces of others with your stories and characters. That motivated me to give wings to my new character Alfie (from my upcoming novel – Alfie The Elf) who is a 14-year-old midget and is one of the closest characters I have given life to.

To give you a heads up about the book and character of Alfie, let me tell you he does not have a great life. He is an orphan and he is a midget due to which he gets ridiculed and taunted every day by everyone around him, and after few failed attempts to increase his height, he writes to Santa to fulfill his wish. When his wish is not fulfilled by Santa on a Christmas Day, he goes out in search of Santa along with his two friends Bullet – a pug and Pedro – an Owl to demand a reason for not fulfilling his wish. On his journey, he meets a lot many mythical creatures like the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, a Snowman and an evil wizard hell-bent on becoming the master of the Universe. Through his innocence and lovely demeanor he is able to spread joy to everyone he meets in the journey.

It made me think if Alfie as a character brings joy to so many characters he meets in my story, why not extend that to real life kids too who are like him – orphan and underprivileged. Therefore, I decided to come up with a Trust named – Alfie For Kids where I will be donating the entire proceeds from the sale of Alfie series which could be used for the benefit of educating and upkeep of underprivileged kids.

When I look back and see, great authors like Enid Blyton, Jane Austin or near home Ruskin Bond and R K Narayan. These great legends are remembered for their characters viz. The Famous Five kids, Rusty, Swami, Elizabeth Bennet or Mr. Darcy, etc. Like them and every other author and storyteller in this world, even I want to be remembered for my stories and characters. However, now I want to go beyond and do something for the world. Something that my character Alfie and his friends in the story believes in doing. So this Christmas season when my new book gets released and Alfie comes knocking at your door, welcome him to your life and give him your love and appreciate him for the cause he stands for. As, with every sale of the book, he will get more power and magic to fulfill the wishes of any underprivileged kid in this world. This will not only help Alfie and the kids but will also give me a reason to smile as somewhere in time, I might be remembered for the good cause I was associated with through my character Alfie.

Urban Clap A Fraudster!

Dear #UrbanClap you sent your technician to repair my refrigerator and without checking the compressor your technician cut the pipes which voided my warranty for the compressor. The company charged me Rs.2400/- for your technician’s mistake for gas filling which would have been free if the warranty was not voided. When I call you up, asking you to pay the money (as you have put it up on your website about damage insurance worth Rs.5000/-) your representative tells me that you will only pay Rs.500/-. How justified is it and why do you mislead poor customers like me with your PROMISE tab…?
